After the provocations carried out by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the Armenian-Azerbaijani border tension did not change significantly compared to the previous day. After the negotiations held on May 16, several groups of representatives of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces who had entered the territory of the Republic of Armenia, returned to their starting positions. Nevertheless, a part of the military is still in the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

Today the RA Minister of Defence had discussions on the peaceful settlement of the issue with the RF Minister of Defence, CSTO Secretary General, Director of the BS of the RF FSB, the military attaches accredited in the RA visited the Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry of Defense reiterates that any encroachment on the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia is absolutely unacceptable, and in order to avoid development of events  with unpredictable consequences, the Azerbaijani military must leave the territory of our country without any preconditions.
