Vigen Sargsyan toured around the building housing the command headquarters and army faculties, acquainted himself with the facilities, the programs for preparation and re-training of officers, and educational opportunities, and reviewed the infrastructure available for the education of cadets, the barracks, lecture rooms current issues and possibilities for solving them.

The chief of the military educational institution, major-general Armen Ghaghramanyan, briefed the Minister of Defense on the structure of the university, the preparation and retraining of cadets and officers, the nuances of organizing military education, the application process, and the daily routine and social conditions of cadets, and presented several proposals to increase the attractiveness of the military university.

During the visit to the military university, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia dines with the cadets.

At the central recruitment point, the head of the defense administration observed the infrastructure available for the organization of the recruitment process, medical examination of recruits and the process for collecting statistical data. The Minister of Defense was also briefed on works in preparation of the next draft and on new programs.
