Within the scope of the visit, the Lieutenant General Mark Hertling was hosted by the ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and the Chief of General Staff Yuri Khachaturov. At the meeting the sides discussed issues regarding the mission of the Armenian peacekeeping unit in Kosovo under the U.S. command, professional non-commissioned officers corps system in Armenia, the participation of the Armenian peacekeepers in multinational military exercises organized by the US Army, as well as other issues of mutual interest. During the meetings the parties recorded the high level of the Armenian-American military cooperation and the prospective of its development. The delegation headed by the General-Lieutenant Mark Hertling also visited the Military Institute after V. Sargsyan and watched the training of military units.
