From 13 to 15 May, a German multinational inspection group, headed by Brigade General Braunstein, is conducting an inspection at one of the Armenian Ministry of Defence repair facilities to oversee the process of dismantling of 21 pieces of military equipment under the requirements of the TCAFE.

The process is being implemented under the NATO Trust Fund and with the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany technical assistance and funding.

The next phases of the project envisage dismantling of the hardware and sale in accordance with international standards. The funds raised will be directed to population's mine awareness and other implementation of other humanitarian programmes.

On 14 May, German Ambassador to Armenia Matthias Kiesler, Head of Armenian Ministry of Defence’s Defence Policies Department Levon Ayvazyan, and representatives of the Armenian foreign and defence ministries visited the repair facility.
