Armenian-Georgian relations are at a high level
21 December, 2016 18:29During the meeting, the high level of friendly relations between the two nations was emphasized, and questions concerning reinforcement of defense cooperation and regional security were discussed.
Valuing cooperation in various fields and emphasizing the need to further develop relations, both sides stressed the importance of the provision of regional peace and security, as a necessary condition for stable development of regional states.
On the same day, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan met with Catholicos-Patriarch of all Georgians, Ilia II. Friend relations between Armenia and Georgia were discussed during the meeting, and references were made to the strengthening and reinforcement of the two nations, and development of cooperation based on universal humanitarian principles.
Vigen Sargsyan thanked Patriarch Ilia II for the warm reception.
On December 21st, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia met with representatives of Armenian and Georgian media organizations, and presented the details of the meetings and negotiations.
