On July 2 RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyzan participated in the recurrent sitting of the Council of Defense Ministers of CIS participating states in Bishkek.

A number of documents related to the field of military cooperation, including air defense, security of air flights of the planes of Armed Forces of CIS countries, exchange of information were discussed and signed during the sitting. In the framework of the visit Seyran Ohanyan had his first meeting with his Azeri counterpart as Defense Minister of Armenia. During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to reducing the umber of accidents at the contact line of the Armed Forces of the two countries, as well as the missing soldiers and the fate of the Armenian captives in Azerbaijan.
