Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan met with Andrew Loomis, Deputy Assistant Secretary of War
17 September, 2026 17:57On September 17, at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, met with Andrew Loomis, Deputy Assistant Secretary of War.
Issues regarding Armenia-US cooperation in the defense sector were discussed during the meeting.
Both sides highly valued the current level of cooperation. In particular, emphasis was placed on developing cooperation in areas such as peacekeeping, the training of NCOs, instructors, and junior commanders, military education, as well as the conduct of joint exercises and drills.
Andrew Loomis noted that the US will continue cooperation within the framework of ongoing programs and is ready to discuss opportunities to deepen cooperation in new areas.
