From August 23 to 25, under the leadership of the Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Major General Edward Asryan, joint staff trainings were held on the topic "The work of the military management bodies of the RA Armed Forces at the stage of making a decision of the defensive operation and setting tasks."

The sequence of actions of structural units and military support units planned and defined by combat calculations has been established, the actions of officials during the assessment of the military-political situation, the plan for the use of armed forces and the adjustment of the tasks of the troops have been checked, the capabilities of the command staff for the preparation and conduct of hostilities, planning and management of defensive operations have been improved.

During the training, the operational task was studied, the current situation was evaluated, and the formalization of all necessary documents for the management of troops was developed.

Summing up the results of the training, Major General Edward Asryan highly appreciated the readiness and combat capability of the personnel, gave appropriate instructions to the unit commanders.
