Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Armenia
On October 10, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Armenia, Petr Pirunčík, and the newly appointed Military and Air Attaché, Lieutenant Colonel Jiří Mráček. (residing in Tbilisi). The Minister of Defence congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Mráček on assuming his position in Armenia and wished him success in his mission. During the meeting, the parties discussed several topics related to Armenia–Czech defence cooperation, as well as regional and international security.

On October 9, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Armenia, Alexandra Cole. The Minister of Defence congratulated the Ambassador on the commencement of her diplomatic mission in Armenia and wished her success in further strengthening cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to Armenia-UK defence cooperation, as well as a range of topics concerning regional and international security.

On September 18, as part of his visit to the People’s Republic of China, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan participated in the opening ceremony and plenary session of the 12th Xiangshan Forum in Beijing on September 18. The Forum is held under the motto “Upholding International Order and Promoting Peaceful Development” and features a program comprising four plenary sessions, eight simultaneous sessions, and a series of additional events.

On September 2nd, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Mehdi Sobhani, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the Republic of Armenia. The Minister highly appreciated Ambassador’s contribution to the strengthening RA-IRI relations and expressed gratitude for joint effective cooperation and significant achievements as a result. During the meeting, issues related to the bilateral agenda, as well as the latest developments in regional and international security were discussed. In the conclusion of the meeting the Minister of Defence Suren Papikyan awarded the Ambassador with a departmental medal for effective cooperation.

On August 20, the closing ceremony of the Armenia-U.S. joint exercise “EAGLE PARTNER 2025”, held in Armenia as part of the preparations for participation in international peacekeeping missions, took place. During the ceremony, the leadership of the exercise expressed gratitude to the personnel for their effective cooperation, the successful implementation of the joint training activities, and the exchange of experience.

On August 19, First Deputy Minister of Defense-Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant General Edward Asryan, the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien, Assistant Adjutant General, Commander Kansas Army National Guard, Brigadier General Carlin Williams, foreign Defence Attachés accredited in the Republic of Armenia, as well as other high-ranking military officials, observed the ongoing Armenia-U.S. joint exercise “EAGLE PARTNER 2025”, conducted in preparation for participation in international peacekeeping missions. The distinguished visitors observed the active phase of the practical exercise.
