The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the state of the acquirement of armaments by Armenia under the Russian government export loans and other agreements.

The parties exchanged views on the military equipment supplied to the Armenian Armed Forces, as well as the process of modernising the hardware already in use. Agreements have been reached about the 14th Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission meeting on military-technical cooperation to be Held in Yerevan on 3-7 May.
