Armenia-Diaspora Forum participants discuss features of Armenian defence policies

The first and second sessions of the "Features of Armenian Defence Policies" direction were held within the framework of the 6th Armenia-Diaspora Forum.

The speakers at the session titled "Anti-Armenian propaganda targeted by information security" addressed the challenges Armenia faces in terms of the anti-Armenian propaganda and the possibilities of resisting it, as well as information security issues. Representatives of the information security filed, experts, representatives of relevant agencies and bodies made speeches at the discussion.

They also presented the large-scale undertakings at the border, and the provisions of the "Nation-Army" concept.

Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan, speaking at the second session, titled "Nation-Army. Collective Capacity Development Model," presented the key issues of the defence sector and the implemented reforms. Speaking about the essence of the "Nation-Army" idea, he highlighted the main directions of the program: the attractiveness of the military profession, replenishment of arms and modern equipment of the frontline, the development of militaryindustry, the strengthening of military diplomatic ties and the expansion of its geography, fair and transparent performance. Sargsyan also spoke about the "I am", "I Have the Honor" and "Ditaket" programs, which have been widely discussed in recent months.

At the end of thematic sessions, Sargsyan took part in the ceremony of repayment of three postal stamps devoted to the Soldiers' Insurance Fund.
