Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan met on August 28 with CSTO Secretary General Yuri Khachaturov who arrived in Armenia to discuss issues related to preparation of the CSTO summit, the meetings of the CSTO Foreign Ministers’ Council, and the meeting of Security Council secretaries, all to be held in Minsk this fall.

Among other issues discussed at the meeting, such as the international and regional security, the parties also focused on the preparation of two exercises to be held in Armenian this October: the Search tactical exercises, and the Interaction exercises to be held jointly with the CSTO Operative Response Forces to be held in Armenia in October.
