Chief of the Department of Defense Policy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Levon Ayvazyan presented the activity carried out by the defense administration of Armenia in military-political relations, development of the armed forces, international military cooperation, international peacekeeping, and oversight of armaments. It was noted that throughout 2016, as in previous years, the primary efforts were directed at the strengthening of the international military-political position and partnerships of the Republic of Armenia, the development of the armed forces, as well as participation in operations for international stability and security.

It was reaffirmed that the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia will continue to actively implement reforms in defense and carry out its commitments international military cooperation, peacekeeping and oversight of armaments.
 

Levon Ayvazyan noted that 2016 was particular in the unprecedented intensity of the NKR conflict and the unbridled military operations launched against the NKR by Azerbaijan.

At the end of the meeting, the chief of the Department of Defense Policy of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia answered questions posed by the representatives of the association of military attached accredited in Armenia.
