Emergency Drill at the Administrative Complex of the Ministry of Defence

An emergency drill was announced at the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia at the beginning of the winter study period, during which the staff of the administrative complex reached a high level of combat preparedness.

Receiving the appropriate signal, servicemen and special civilian employees of MoD, AF, and AF GS departments and independent branches were present at their designated locations within the given time-frame.

The aim of the surprise inspection was to check the servicemen's and civilian employees' combat preparedness and mobilization capability, their knowledge of their responsibilities, their professionalism, and their ability to apply their knowledge if necessary.

Greeting the staff at the drill grounds, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan highlighted the importance of planned and unplanned exercises, and the need to maintain the degree of alertness of the staff at a high level. The head of the defence administration emphasized the fact that each servicemen and civilian employee must have the ability to address issues at short notice, in a well organized and professional manner.

The head of the defence administration gave employees of the Ministry of Defence and the central apparatus of the Armed Forces General Staff several instructions and assignments.
