Prominent Russian writer has been awarded the ``Marshall Baghramyan`` Medal

By the order of the ARM Defence Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Prominent Russian writer Daniil A. Granin has been awarded with ``Marshall Baghramyan`` Medal.

D. Granin`s life and his creative work is a fine example of patriotism, civic responsibility and search of intellectual vigour. At the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the young engineer voluntarily went to the front and at the end of the war, he was the commander of heavy tanks company within the group, under the command of the Army General Hovhannes Baghramyan. A number of his papers have become popular not only in the literary world, including ``Seekers", ``Our Combat``, ``I am going to Storm``, ``The Picture``, ``Zubr``. In recent years, he has been writing autobiographical books, (``My Lieutenant`` won the ``Big Book`` Russian national literary Prize).
