The US Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia visited the National Defence Research University

On November 20, a delegation led by US Ambassador to the Republic of Armenia Lynne M. Tracy visited the National Defence Research University of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia The deklegation included the US Embassy Military Attaché, Colonel Scott Maxwell, Bilateral Defense Officer, Major Chad Murrow, Kansas National Brigade General Sergeant Brent Anders, and and Anahit Hovhannisyan, Coordinator of US Embassy Military Training Programs in Armenia.

The RA MoD Head of the RA Ministry of Defense, General Major Gennady Tavaratsyan, head of the University presented to the guests the educational and research activities of the University, the essence and purpose of the department's "State Military Security" academic training course.

 Major-General Tavardzyan informed that the University develops and next year shall implement inter-departmental training course, a separate training course for the specialists of the operative sector as well as a master's degree program. Organization of postgraduate education (PhD students and applicants) is also in the plans of the University.

It is also envisaged to set up a Universsity Professional Council under the Highest Qualification Committee of the Republic of Armenia within the framework of which candidate and doctoral dissertations will be supported in the fields of military science, military strategy, national security.

Ambassador Lynne M. Tracy highly appreciated the large-scale work done by the NDRU in the field of military professional education, highlighted the strengthening and development of Armenian-American partnerships, including in the mentioned field. Ambassador Lynne M. Tracy praised the effectiveness of the University in Honorable Guests Records Book.

Ambassador Lynne M. Tracy also met with students of NDRU and answered to their questions.

During the meeting, Sergeant General of the Kansas National Guard, B. Anders continued his three-day lecture at NDRU on US sergeant system.
