A competition jointly announced by the Defence Ministry and Hi-Tech, a cyber security centre, was held on 24-25 December. The competition’s goal is to create and effectively implement hi-tech solutions in the defence sector, as well as to employ the skills of conscripts during their term service.

Armenia’s Acting Defence Minister Davit Tonoyan attended the second round of the competition. He talked with the members of the commission and specialists.

He was briefed on the conclusions how the skills of the conscripts can be used during their service term in the Armed Forces.

Conscripts to be drafted to the armed forces under the winter conscription and who have demonstrated in-depth professional knowledge and relevance in information and communication technologies are eligible to participate in the contest. By interviewing and giving assignments to each of them, the professional commission selects the best who will then serve in specialised military units.
