Performance of commission dealing with complaints from citizens during conscription period summed up

The defence minister’s public committee for consideration of the complaints from citizens summed up the performance of the commission dealing with complaints from citizens during the 2018 summer conscription period, that demonstrates the effective work of the commission.

Of the 142 complaints received, 80 were processed, of which 74 were readdressed to the Central Medical Commission as they were regarding the conscripts' health status assessment and evaluation issues. Taking into account the recommendations and considerations of the Commission, 27 conscripts were referred for additional tests, 2 for surgeries, the results of 10 other conscripts were reviewed. As a result, 28 conclusions on the suitability for military service were reviewed, 10 conscripts have been evaluated as unfit for military service, another one -- as was temporarily unfit, 17 were given a delay of up to one year term for medical treatment. Additional tests were ordered for 10 conscripts, based on which their physical load during military service has been reduced. The commission has also started to process the complaints regarding three servicemen; there cases are under control of the public council.
