Vigen Sargsyan receives US Air Force Air War College students

Armenian Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan received on March 6 a group of students from the US Air Force Air War College. US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills and the military attaché of the Embassy were also in attendance of the meeting.
The Air War College is a US higher military education institution providing a strategic level education for senior US military officers. The college students have arrived in Armenia from Georgia as a part of their outgoing study.

At the meeting, Minister Sargsyan briefed the guests the major threats to Armenia's security environment, recent reforms in the Armenian Armed Forces and the priorities of the seven-year Armed Forces modernisation programme. He also answered the questions asked by the participants of the meeting.

The questions mainly of the American students were mainly related to the regional security, Armenia’s involvement in international missions and the steps taken to implement the priorities of the Armed Forces.

As part of their visit, the delegation will also be hosted at the National Defence Research University.
