Sports event for disabled servicemen held at Ministry of Defence

The annual tournament, initiated by the Ministry of Defence and the NGO Satar, aims to provide equal opportunities for persons with disabilities through sports and to promote their full integration into public life.
Competitions were organized in chess, checkers, arm wrestling and table tennis.
At the end of the sporting event, Minister of Defence Vigen Sargsyan handed awards to the winners of various sports, wishing them courage and health.
Sargsyan reiterated that the social security issues of those who have acquired disabilities in the Artsakh liberation war and during their military service are in constant focus of the Armed Forces leadership, who does its best to find speedy solution to these issues in order to relieve the disabled persons’ socio-economic problems.
