Body of Azerbaijani serviceman discovered in no man’s land handed to Azerbaijan

The body of the Azerbaijani serviceman was handed over on November 28 to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces representatives. The transfer took place on the Yeraskh-Sadarak section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border by the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross.

The body was discovered on November 23 by Armenian servicemen in a no man’s land opposite to an Armenian combat position in the south-western section of the Armenian state border. According to information collected through an operative investigation, it was revealed that the found serviceman was an Azerbaijani Armed Forces captain, who had fled his military unit after a crime was committed there.
