Defence minister sums up first year in office

The minister spoke about the work accomplished during his first year in office, as well as the plans aimed at the continuous strengthening of the level of the Armed Forces’ combat readiness, implementation of the strategic projects related to the "Nation-Army" concept, the efficiency of the defence sector management, the raising of theattractiveness of the military serviceand public confidence in the military,and ensuring the security of servicemen. Sargsyan also talked about the policies with regard to the personnel, the insurance fund to cover those killed and wounded in the line of duty, replenishment of the front line with newerweaponry and a number of other projects.
