MoD Central Military Medical Commission performance reviewed

MoD Central Military Medical Commission performance for the first half of 2017 were reviewed on August 8 at the Ministry of Defence.

The Commission’s chairman, Sahak Ohanyan, detailed the main directions of the Commission's activities, the results of the tests determining fitness for military service, presenting comparisons with the results of the same period of the past year. He also suggested proposals aimed at raising the effectiveness of the Commission’s activities, as well as answered the participants’ questions.

Summarizing the report, Defence Minister Vigen Sargsyan highlighted the importance of the efforts aimed at reducing corruption risks during the medical tests conducted by the Commission for determination the fitness for military service and objective evaluation of servicemen’s health. He also stressed that the Commission should adopt new approaches in some of its directions.
