Public discussions concerning the “Es Em” and “Pativ Unem” programs continue

On June 15th, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan met with the representatives of a number of youth organizations.

The Minister of Defense presented the participants with the terms, details and particulars of the new programs for Armed Forces recruitment. Vigen Sargsyan once again emphasized the fact that the introduction of new schemes does not imply the elimination of previous ones or changes to the term of mandatory military service. The Ministry of Defense is young men who are to be recruited into the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, the opportunity to make a choice. If the recruit chooses to serve through one of the two new schemes, the government will provide a tangible package of financial and social compensation.

The head of the defense administration answered questions posed by participants and became acquainted with their proposals.
