From 2004 onward, the center has contributed to patriotic preparation of youth, including those who are homeless and socially vulnerable, through primary, basic, secondary, patriotic, cadet, and other education programs included in the school charter. For years, the educational center has prepared its youth for admission into higher educational institutions that provide professional military educational programs, forming and developing in them, a loyalty for military service.

The program for the merger between the "Little Mher" educational center with the Monte Melqonyan military school of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia was developed as a result of the decision of the government of the Republic of Armenia with regards to reform in military education. Having been a secondary educational institution from the very beginning, the Monte Melqonyan school of the Ministry of Defense has more experience than new established secondary educational institutions. Having traversed a long path, the school has had numerous successes in its 22 years of operation. Since 2007, its students have always returned from international competitions with awards.

One of the main objectives of the school is to prepare candidates for admissions to military higher educational institutions. Over 90% of students apply for admissions and are accepted into military higher educational institutions in the Republic of Armenia and abroad.

"Little Mher" students were accepted into the Monte Melqonyan military school of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia.

They were greeted by the chief of the military school, Colonel Vitali Voskanyan, and were thereafter led through medical examination, received linens, were acquainted with the living conditions of the school, with the help of their fellow students and the teaching staff. During the first several days, they will become acquainted with daily life at the school.

The "Little Mher" students were impressed, and had a positive opinion of the change of schools. They realize that the name and location of the educational institution are not important. What is important is high quality education, and the opportunities concerning admissions into higher educational institutions that the military school provides.
