The Medal “For Courage”
The Medal “For Courage” is awarded for personal bravery shown in the course of the defense of the Motherland, the protection of public order, as well as during salvage operations and when carrying out official or civil duty in conditions dangerous for life.

The Medal “For Courage” is borne on the left side of the chest; in the case of the presence of Orders, it follows them.
The Medal of “Service in Battle”
The Medal of “Service in Battle” is awarded for skillful, initiative, brave actions, promoting the carrying out of military missions, the securing of the combat training of the forces and for providing services for the defense of state borders.

The Medal of “Service in Battle” is borne on the left side of the chest, following the Medal “For Courage”.
The Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland”
The Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” is awarded for great contribution to the defense of the Motherland, or strengthening of law and order, or the ensuring of national security, as well as for carrying out salvage operations or providing other significant services to the Motherland.

The Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” has two ranks:

Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” of the I rank
Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” of the II rank.

The Medal “For Services Contributed to the Motherland” is borne on the left side of the chest; in the case of the presence of Orders, it follows them and in the case of the presence of the Medal of “Service in Battle”, it follows it.
“For Fair Service” four-degree Medal of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the “For Fair Service” four-degree Medal has been valid since August 13, 2001. (ARM MoD 13.08.2001 N 608 order)

1. The ARM AF “For Fair Service” medal is a four-degree one and is awarded from 1st to the 4th degree to those servicemen who have fairly served in the Armenian Armed Forces for 5, 10, 15, 20 years accordingly.

2. Chiefs of ARM MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments introduce the servicemen for the ARM AF “For Fair Service” four-degree Medal, by making the introduction available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards through the MoD department of Personnel and Military Education.

3. Those who have received a “warning”, “strict warning”, “not complete service compliance”, demotion or been penalized cannot be awarded with the ARM AF “For Fair Service” medal, as well as those who have previously been demobilized for “Service incompliance” and then been restored, those who have previously been demoted then restored, those who bear a behavioral penalty, those who were sentenced during service, even if they are not arrested.

4. The ARM AF “For Fair Service” four-degree Medal is awarded by the order of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.

5. Those awarded with the ARM AF “For Fair Service” four-degree Medal are given a certificate to bear it.

6. The ARM AF “For Fair Service” four-degree Medal is borne at the left side of the chest, after the ARM Medal of "Service in Battle".
Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” has been valid since May 11, 1997.

1. ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is awarded to those who have taken part in combat activities during the Great Patriotic War, to Labor veterans, who have actively participated in the military-patriotic education of the youth, generals, officers, sergeants and privates of the National Army of the Republic of Armenia who have had direct participation in combat activities during the protection of the ARM border.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is made by the ARM MoD, council of war and labor veterans and the presidency of “Marshal Baghramyan” fund.

3. The awarding is done by the order of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the ARM Medal of "Service in Battle".

6. Veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other servicemen from the CIS and other countries can be awarded the ARM AF Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan”.
Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” has been valid since July 20, 2001.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is awarded to ARM AF officers and ensigns who have shown bravery, valor and organizational skills while on their service duties, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in the establishment of the Armenian Army.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

3. The ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan”.

6. The ARM AF Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan” is not awarded posthumously.
Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” has been valid since July 20, 2001.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organizations. Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” has been valid since July 20, 2001.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

3. The ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan”.

6. The ARM AF Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh” is not awarded posthumously.
Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” has been valid since September 12,2002.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

3. The ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the Medal of “Garegin Nzdeh”.

6. The ARM AF Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan” is not awarded posthumously.
Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” has been valid since July 27, 2010.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” is awarded to ARM AF generals, officers, ensigns and special civil servants, as well as generals, officers and ensigns who have served in USSR and CIS detachments and participants of Great Patriotic War who have showed significant courage, valor and contributed to the strengthening, development and power of ARM AF efficiency, who have showed best results in the spheres of combat preparedness and military-patriotic education.

2. The ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

3. Individuals are introduced for being awarded the ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” by the Chief of the ARM AF General Staff, deputy Ministers of Defence, deputy chiefs of the ARM AF GS, chiefs of ARM MoD, AF and AF GS departments and separate branches.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Nelson Stepanyan” is borne at the left side of the chest, before the Medal of “Admiral Isakov”.
Medal of “Admiral Isakov” of the ARM Armed Forces
The Charter for the Medal of “Admiral Isakov” has been valid since August 27, 2004.

1. The ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is awarded to officers and ensigns who have significant input in the spheres of army building, development of ARM military-educational system and military-patriotic education of the young generation, to servicemen who have shown personal valor in abolishing dangers to the lives of servicemen and in protecting the borders of the Motherland during mandatory service, and to individuals who have had considerable input in establishing and strengthening the Armenian Army.

2. The mediation for awarding the ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is made by ARM deputy ministers of defence, chiefs of the MoD and AF GS departments and individual branches, commanders of the Defence Army, army corps and detachments, the head of the ARM National Security Service, Head of the Police, Chief of the Department of Extreme Situations adjunct to the ARM Government, heads of ARM ministries, departments, government and non-government organization. The introductions are made available for the MoD committee for awarding government awards.

3. The ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

4. Those awarded with the ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” are given a certificate to bear it.

5. The ARM AF Medal of “Admiral Isakov” is borne at the left side of the chest, after the Medal of “Vazgen Sargsyan”.

6. The ARM AF Medal of "Admiral Isakov” is not awarded posthumously.
Medal for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces
1. The Medal for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces is a two-degree medal and according to regulations it is awarded to those contract servicemen who have had individual contribution in ensuring the ARM and NKR territorial totality and the protection of the state borders (contact line).

2. The 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces are awarded to those contract servicemen of ARM AF detachments and units who have been on combat watch for 3 (the 1st degree Medals for “Combat Watch”) and 6 (the 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch”) years accordingly.

3. The 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces are awarded by the order of the ARM Minister of Defence.

4. Individuals are introduced for being awarded the 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” of the ARM Armed Forces by the Chief of the ARM AF General Staff, deputy Ministers of Defence, deputy chiefs of the ARM AF GS, chiefs of ARM MoD, AF and AF GS departments and separate branches.

5. Those awarded with the ARM AF 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch” are given a certificate to bear it.

6. In case of a posthumous awarding, the ARM AF 1st and 2nd degree Medals for “Combat Watch”, together with the certificates, are given to the family members of the awardee.
