On April 2the demining training delivered by instructors from the Kansas National Guard kicked off on the ground of MoD Peacekeeping Engineering Battalion under the coordination of the ``Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center`` SNCO.

On April 3 the Kansas State Senate unanimously adopted a resolution commemorating the 10th anniversary of the partnership between Armenia and Kansas.

On April 6, a grand ceremony was held at the Military Aviation Institute by Marshal A. Khanperyants dedicated to the 20th anniversary of its establishment and activities.

On April 2-3 a delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia David Tonoyan paid a visit to the capital of Belgium, Brussels. The aim of the visit was to attend the NATO Political and Partnerships Committee (PPC) meeting at the NATO headquarters in the format of 28+Armenia.

Ensuring the security of the borders of the Republic of Armenia is one of the most important tasks for the armed force and officers and soldiers of the Armenian army are fully committed to their combat duty along the contact line. On March 30, a number of soldiers were rewarded by Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan for their high commitment and excellent service performance.

On March 25 to 29, a working group of the Kansas National Guard and the U.S. European Command representatives was in Armenia, to coordinate the preparatory activities for the conduct of ``First aid to the wounded on the battlefield`` training in the Armenian armed forces.

On March 26, the annual Armenia-US military cooperation planning conference took place in Yerevan. Amongst the participants were representatives ofthe U.S. European Command, Kansas National Guard and US Marine Forces Europe.

On March 26, a discussion was held at the MoD administrative complex on humanitarian demining activites carried out since September 2012 in Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Ararat, Tavush and Gegharkunik provinces by the "Humanitarian Demining and Expertise Center"SNCO (HDEC) in cooperation with Swiss Foundation of Mine Action (FSD) and completed and forthcoming non-technical and technical surveys, actual demining operations.

In the past two years, considerable progress has been achieved in strengthening the discipline and enhancing psychological conditions within the Armenian Armed Forces. Minister of Defence Seyran Ohanyan talked about this subject in the session of Ministry Board held at MoD administrative complex on March 22.

From March 18 to 22, the joint advisory group of experts from United States and Great Britain assisting reforms on human resources management in the Armed Forces were in Armenia.
