Intergovernmental Agreement on Military Technical Cooperation Signed between Armenia and Kazakhstan

On June 5, the delegation headed by the Defense Minister of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov arrived in Armenia on an official visit.
After the welcoming ceremony held for the delegation, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov was met by Seyran Ohanyan and the senior staff of the Defense Ministry and General staff of the ARM Armed Forces. At the meeting ARM Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan awarded the JubileeMedal' 20years of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia' to the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Adilbek Dzhaksybekov. 
The Defense ministers of Armenia and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
After the signing ceremony talking to journalists at the press conference ARM Defense Minister underscored the high level ofcooperation between the two ministries and said that all prerequisites are present to deepen and develop it even further. Seyran Ohanyan also noted that Armenia and Kazakhstan effectively cooperate in defense sector both in the framework of the CSTO and bilateral context pointing out the potential role of the intergovernmental agreement signed between the parties. According to Seyran Ohanyan this agreement will open opportunity for the two countries to cooperate in exchange, repair and technical maintenance of military equipment and to carry out joint projects. The Defense Minister of Kazakhstan thanked for the warm welcome and noted, on his part, that this agreement will give important impetus to the cooperation between the two countries. Adilbek Dzhaksybekov added that besides the military-technical sphere the military cooperation also embraces fields of military education and training, exchange of experience.
On the same day, Adilbek Dzhaksybekov was hosted by the Head of National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan.     
During the official visit, the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan also visited the Military Institute after V. Sargsyan and was introduced to educational programs and training process.
