Description of the Educational Process
The organization of the educational process

The Institute trains officers in the following specialties:

1. Faculty of Aviation
 Flight use of flying apparatus (planes, helicopters)
 Technical use of flying apparatus and engines (planes, helicopters)

2. Faculty of Signal
 Use of mean of communication

3. Faculty of Anti-Aircraft Defence
 Use of means of anti-aircraft defence

Besides military specialization the Institute also give civilian qualifications equivalent to the Bachelor’s degree recognized in the Republic of Armenia.

The Institute has a center for teaching foreign languages. It also has a computer lab.

Lecturers invited from ARM higher educational institutions teach general educational subjects. As for specialized subjects – by officers who have served in the ARM AF, then have graduated from a military academy or finished academic courses. Some narrower specialization subjects are taught in the laboratories of Yerevan State Engineering University.

The Institute has the necessary logistic and military-technical bases, which allow trainings to be held in accordance with the requirements of object programs.

The Institute has:

Specialized auditoriums and laboratories in the faculties of Aviation and Signal, as well as

 Physics lab, calculating equipment lab,
 Laboratory for electro-technical and radio-technical objects,
 English language auditorium
 4 training equipment for aviation and anti-aircraft defence (for plane and helicopter systems and shooting weapons).

Electronic library

The ARM MoD is actively working on completing the logistic bases of the faculty of Anti-Aircraft Defence.

Field trainings are organized in the Institute, using the military equipment and armament of ARM AF detachments.
During the studies field trips are organized and internships in ARM AF detachments, in order to acquire relevant experience and skills.

Each school year the students receive 2 vacations – 1 month in summer and 14 days in winter. During studies they receive financial allowances.

The advantages of choosing a military profession

Officers who have graduated from military educational institutions have a number of advantages, such as:
 They are immediately appointed to serve on a relevant position
 Are provided with a service apartment or the rent is reimbursed
 After 20 years of service, the service apartments are privatized. As we know every year more and more new apartment are built
 All students of ARM military educational institutions receive allowances, free food, clothing, and accommodation

 Excellent and highly disciplined students receive nominal allowances
 Students receive accommodations that meet the European standards, with 2-3 person rooms, as well as quality food and clothing

 Students and their families receive privileges defined by ARM “Law on the Social Protection of Servicemen and their Family Members”. According to this law they can receive free medical treatment in ARM medical establishments.

ARM AF officers receive approximately AMD 200.000, which is year-by-year increasing.

This is the only sector in the Republic where after 20 years of service individuals can go on long service pension (average AMD 80.000) and work within their civilian profession.
