In 1990 he participated in the Freedom Fight of Artsakh
In March, 1992 he was wounded near the village of Kyosalar

Since 01 September, 2001 he has held the positions of officer, senior officer, then head of direction in the Recruitment branch of the ARM MoD Department of Personel
Since 2007 he has been the head of the ARM MoD Military-Training School after Monte Melkonyan

Medal of "Service in Battle", 1st and 2nd degree Medal “For Fair Service”, Medal of “Marshal Baghramyan”, Medal of “Andranik Ozanyan”, Medal of “Drastamat Kanayan” “Maternal Gratitude” Medal, “Mountainous Eagle” golden medal, several badges, certificates and acknowledgements.
